Everyone is invited to enjoy the third annual Oktoberfest celebration downtown at Centennial Plaza which will come alive with Alpine music by Salzburger Echo and German folk dancing by The Las Vegas Bavarian Dancers throughout the day. Salzburger Echo plays Old World and contemporary folk music from the alpine regions of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Performances in authentic costumes include 12-foot alphorns, Swiss cowbells, harmony yodeling, audience participation and much fun. Together since 1992, Salzburger Echo has been a crowd favorite at many festivals throughout the United States and Europe.
In the biergarten, Herbie Autobahn will entertain the crowd with yodeling and German Schlager music on the accordion and keyboard. Traditional food and drink will be available for purchase, including German potato cakes, potato salad, sauerkraut, bratwurst, Polish sausage, apple strudel and a variety of beers.
