LORENA PERIL BRINGS VOICE, BEAUTY AND TALENT TO FANTASY
With looks like Shakira and a voice like Christina Aguilera, Lorena Peril on her own is something to behold. But, as the headliner to Las Vegas’ sexy adult revue, FANTASY at Luxor Hotel and Casino, she is the star in a show filled with gorgeous dancers, seductive choreography and quick-witted humor.
With the addition of Peril’s second single, “Soulja,” to the adult revue, the bombshell vocalist now sings two of her own songs set to original choreography performed by FANTASY’s stunning cast.
“After hearing Lorena’s first single, I loved it so much that we made it the opening number,” says Anita Mann of Anita Mann Productions. “With the success of ‘Dance on Me,’ there was no doubt ‘Soulja’ would be another great addition to the show.”
Peril takes the stage alongside two other beauties for the high-energy routine choreographed by FANTASY’s very own showgirls, Sonya and Dar. Clad in military-themed outfits designed by Las Vegas entertainer and designer Jeffrey deBarathy, the beauties come armed with a show-stopping performance.
The powerhouse singer debuted “Soulja” in April and wowed fans with a performance of both singles at LAX Nightclub. Since then, she has been making special appearances performing her hit singles to packed houses throughout Las Vegas. Additionally, Peril’s two singles are available for purchase on iTunes.
Before Peril was writing, singing and performing as headliner in a Strip Las Vegas show, her life story of how she got there could be straight from a movie script.
A native of San Francisco, the starlet first fell in love with singing while performing in church. Her father gave her a karaoke machine when she was in high school, and she would imagine herself singing for an audience. For Peril, these dreams were overshadowed by the reality of needing to make a living. Her mother, who was born in Mexico, had always worked hard as a housekeeper to give her family a better life. So, when Peril graduated from high school, she followed in her mother’s footsteps.
Still, Peril pursued her passion by performing at local Bay Area clubs and festivals. But, it wasn’t until a vacation on a Carnival Cruise Line that changed Peril’s destiny. On a whim, she participated in a guest talent show on a night she says “changed my life, forever.” She was offered a contract as a lead vocalist and performed as a lead principle singer for shows in Las Vegas and on Broadway.
Peril has been entertaining audiences on the Las Vegas Strip for the past five years. Prior to joining Anita Mann’s hit production, FANTASY, the self-taught performer starred in Sin City Bad Girls at the Las Vegas Hilton and performed as Christina Aguilera in American Superstars at Stratosphere. Peril also toured as an opening act for Barry Manilow in 2007 during his multi-city “Music and Passion Arena Tour.”
Since joining the cast in 2010, Peril appeared in the debut season of “The Voice” after being recruited by Mark Burnett, himself, and sang the National Anthem multiple times for the LA Kings including season opener at the STAPLES Center and recently for the L.A. Clippers.
Today, you can catch Peril and the talented cast of beautiful dancers nightly at Luxor as they continue to celebrate year 12 on the Strip and were recently voted “Best Showgirls” in Las Vegas Review-Journal’s 2012 “Best of Vegas” poll.
FANTASY has shaped itself into one of Las Vegas’ leading topless shows. Great for singles and couples alike, the sexy production showcases high-energy numbers set to a variety of today’s top music genres. While the gorgeous dancers lure guests into their wildest fantasies, comic relief Sean E. Cooper keeps audiences on its toes with his spot-on impressions of some of pop culture’s most recognizable personalities.
Tickets can be purchased at the Luxor box office, online at www.luxor.com or by calling 800.557.7428 or 702.262.4400.
