Tyra Bell-Holland is the Director of Events and Marketing for The One Group, a hospitality company with Bagatelle and STK as some its premier brands. Who better to provide some inside scoop on Sin City?

Today’s Insider: What was the first new hotel that opened when you moved here?

Tyra: The Mirage Hotel.

Today’s Insider: What do you find most unique about this town?

Tyra: Everyone tips from hospitality to non-hospitality, then you follow suit to other cities and they think we’re city slickers!

Today’s Insider: Craziest Vegas story you care to share?

Tyra: The time a guest asked if I was “full-service” concierge and I innocently said, “yes.” He then invited me back to his suite. After that, I always followed it up with the “legal, kind and moral” disclaimer!

Today’s Insider: Where do you eat in Vegas at night?

Tya: Honestly, I can’t live without my filet (med rare), pear salad, haricot vert (French green beans sautéed with chili oil and olive oil) at least five nights a week from STK Chef Stephen Hopcraft.

Today’s Insider: Best place to see the sexy people?

Tyra: Hands down, Magnum Monday Industry Appreciation party at STK Las Vegas at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. It’s the place to see and be seen.

Today’s Insider: What Vegas tradition haven’t you done yet?

Tyra: Flown in a helicopter over the Strip. It makes me queasy even though I’ve had every opportunity to do this with the best tour operators in the city. My loss.

Today’s Insider: Best tip for tourists?

Tyra: Always, always use the expertise of a hotel concierge who is your key to maximizing your experience by streamlining all your wants and desires in one person dedicated to fulfilling your every need.

Today’s Insider: What show have you seen in Las Vegas that stands out in your memory and why?

Tyra: “A Bronx Tale” really moved me literally to tears.This one man show has dimension, depth and Chazz Palminteri is beyond talented. I recommend this to anyone, anywhere.

Today’s Insider: Where do you see the most art in Las Vegas?

Tyra: The Cosmopolitan intrigues me the most from the P3 Studio (Artist in Residence Programming that supports the Art community) to the smallest details throughout the resort. Unique, an element of surprise throughout and tastefully done.

Today’s Insider: Best place to be single and mingle?

Tyra: The Chandelier Bar on the way to STK of course!

Today’s Insider: Hidden treasure in Las Vegas is? 

Tyra: Hangover Haven, the 45 minute cure. Genius!
