We caught up with Yvette Brown, owner of Cosmopolitan Connections Inc. and Vegas VIP Hottie Hosting Inc., to ask her for some insider information about Las Vegas for our readers.
Today’s Insider: How long have you lived in Las Vegas and from where did you move?
Yvette: I have lived in Las Vegas for the past 10 years. I moved from Jersey – Channel Islands, UK (no not Jersey as in the “Jersey Shore,”) but a small island 9×5 miles, in the English Channel near to France and England. I originally landed in Vegas as an Irish dancer in the “Spirit of the dance,” show spectacular which I performed in nightly for two years here, until they went back to the UK.
Today’s Insider: What do you find most unique about this town?
Yvette: The Vegas entrepreneurial spirit, I’ve never lived in a place where anything that you want seems so possible to achieve.
Today’s Insider: Craziest Vegas story you care to share?
Yvette: I’ve partied with a lot of celebrities in Vegas. I could tell you a lot of stories, but I’d have to kill you. Seriously I strongly believe “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas,” although these days with everyone’s cell phone having a camera it is a shame this is no longer the case for celebrities.
Today’s Insider: Where do you eat in Vegas at night?
Yvette: Las Vegas has some of the most amazing restaurants and celebrity chefs in the world right here on our door step. If I had to pick one though, I’d say “MIX” at Mandalay Bay would be my favorite. I have a lot of good memories there and the food and view from the balcony are amazing.
Today’s Insider: Best place to see the sexy people?
Yvette: In my opinion there are a few special places, especially “Lily Bar and Lounge” and “The Bank Nightclub,” both located in the Bellagio. In the summertime, “Liquid Pool Party” at Aria and “Bare Pool” at The Mirage. They have a nightclub vibe in the daytime with everyone partying in the pool in bikinis.
Today’s Insider: What Vegas tradition haven’t you done yet?
Yvette: The “Skyjump” at the Stratosphere. Free falling from the 108th floor is just not for me, but I congratulate anyone who has done it.
Today’s Insider: Best tip for tourists.
Yvette: Nightclub passes bought or handed to you on the street do not work. You will still have to wait in line no matter what they promise you. Go through an established online VIP company before you get to Vegas, to plan your nights and days out in style. It will mean all of your group are on the same page in terms of venue and price, and you will have VIP hosted entry with guaranteed no line wait, instead of worrying if you are going to get past the velvet ropes and spending your time limited vacation time waiting in the two hour lines.
Today’s Insider: What show have you seen in Las Vegas stands out in your memory and why?
Yvette: “Spirit of the Dance” Irish dance show spectacular. Of course it’s my favorite, as I was in it for two years. They are now back at New York New York hotel.
Today’s Insider: Best place to be single and mingle?
Yvette: At my weekly free networking events and at the nightclubs and pool parties. I especially like “Gold Lounge” and “The Deuce Lounge,” both located in aria resort and casino.
Today’s Insider: Hidden treasure in Las Vegas is?
Yvette: “Mandarin Bar” at Mandarin Oriental. It’s exclusively located on the 23rd floor and it has the best views and signature cocktails. I just love the complementary assorted nuts, so addicting. Also “Lily Bar and Lounge” at Bellagio. A beautiful venue with the best “Manhattan” cocktail in town.
Today’s Insider: Time to plug, tell us about your business.
Yvette: I’m the owner of Cosmopolitanconnections.com and Vegasviphottiehosting.com. Please check out both Web sites for my free weekly networking events, and also for VIP hosted group nights and days out in Las Vegas, at the hottest nightclubs and pool parties without waiting in line!
