 We caught up with Penny Stegeman the COO of Passenger Services at the Las Vegas Railway Express to ask for some inside scoop on Las Vegas for our readers.

Where do you like to recommend that people stay in Las Vegas when they are in town?

Cosmopolitan, it is very ecliptic and unique.  The Suites are to die for!

What do you find most unique about this town?

That it is 24/7/365, when I travel to other cities it is so weird to hear “Last Call!”

Craziest Vegas Story you care to share?  

Bachelorette Party, Scavenger Hunt, a pair of man briefs were on the list, our team won…..need I say more?

Where do you eat in Vegas at night?

I love sushi so my favorite place is Yellowtail at the Bellagio.

Best place to see the sexy people?

The Blue Martini at Town Square.

What Vegas Tradition haven’t you done yet?  

Take a picture under the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign.

Best tip for tourists?

You MUST go on a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon preferably at Sunset.  Breathtaking!

What show have you seen in Las Vegas stands out in your memory and why?

LOVE, a fantastic production. Can you tell I am a Beatles fan?

Where do you see the most art in Las Vegas?

The Arts Factory, Downtown Las Vegas.  They have tours you can go on.

Best place to be single and mingle?  

MIX at THEhotel on the 64th floor, easy flow for mingling.

Hidden treasure in Las Vegas is?  

Springs Preserve – History, galleries, exhibits, desert gardens, trails. I love this place!!!

Xtrain is a coming!  Las Vegas Railway Express, Inc. is planning for the establishment of a “Vegas Class” passenger train service between Los Angeles and Las Vegas . Service departures are planned to be Thursday and Friday to Las Vegas with returns on Sunday and Monday back to Los Angeles.
