Restaurant Review: Ristorante Italiano

Tranquil Ristorante Italiano

The charm of Italy is captured in both atmosphere and cuisine in this quaint trattoria, recognized as one of the premier dining spots in Las Vegas for more than a decade. Casual dining in an upscale setting features dozens of fresh pasta dishes made to order, veal, chicken and seafood specialties, plus the catch of the day.

Featuring the earthy cooking of Tuscany and the northern Italian countryside as well as some Milanese influence, the restaurant provides the classics of Italian cooking, which may also be enjoyed in La Stanza Bella, the restaurant’s private dining room.

Greeted with a room-length mural of Venice streets and canal upon entering the venue, the beamed, dark wood ceiling and faux-brick walls decorated with greenery and Renaissance paintings give visitors a warm and comforting feel as if dining on the actual streets of Italy.

Menu items includes pasta dishes such as conchiglia pescatori (sea shell pasta with clams, scallops, shrimp, calamari and mussels), fettucine a la vongole (baby clams sautéed with a choice of red, white or primavera sauce) and linguini con pesto (tossed with basil, garlic, Italian tomatoes and pine nuts).

Lasagna
Seafood Pasta

Using the freshest and most natural ingredients, two favorites for recommendation are the ever popular lasagna and the seafood pasta. Made with four cheeses and three meats, the special homemade lasagna is an appealing dish for those that want to stay on the traditional side, while the seafood pasta is an appetizing meal for those wanting less cheese.

Other specialties include veal chops stuffed with spinach and Gorgonzola cheese, chicken breast with prosciutto ham and roasted garlic sauce and broiled salmon topped with tomato marinade. Longtime house favorites include lobster fra diavolo and veal Parmesan.

In addition, the menu features hot and cold appetizers, spinach and Caesar salads prepared at your table, antipasti and of course, a tempting dessert cart. A comprehensive wine list and cocktails also are available as well.

Located at The Riviera Hotel & Casino. Open daily from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, please call 702-794-9363.
