Restaurant Review: Sapporo's

Sizzling Specials

Offering a variety of flavorful cuisines and dining areas, Sapporo’s provides an upbeat ambiance with a dynamic atmosphere and exciting elements to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience.

From the lighting to the music, the vibe is a mixture of elegant and hip with a touch of eccentric décor. Guests dining at the Teppanyaki tables for an exciting, authentic Japanese meal cooked right before them can choose from distinctive menu items such as sea bass, halibut and Kobe beef served with hot soup, house salad, fried rice, fresh vegetables and a shrimp appetizer.

The lavish dining room features a menu fused with flavorful dishes combining diverse ingredients and cultures with dishes that include crab crusted Mahi Mahi served with jasmine rice in a black bean beurre blanc and asparagus relish, or the kabayaki glazed scallops served with asparagus tips, shitake mushrooms and scallions.

Caterpillar Roll
BBQ Ribs

Guests can also enjoy a meal or a cocktail at the luxurious bar or on the cozy outdoor patio. A cocktail to recommend is the Passion Mango Martini. Served in a standard martini glass, this drink is anything but standard as it combines a mix of citrus liquors and tropical fruit purees to create a frozen taste sensation.

Black Cod
Lobster

Another recommendation is the Tuna Tartare from their array of mouth watering appetizers, which features yellowfin tuna with avocado and tomato towered atop Japanese rice and drizzled with balsamic vinegar, as well as the Caterpillar from their imaginative sushi rolls, which features toasted eel and cucumber topped with avocado and eel sauce in the shape of a caterpillar.

To top it off, the restaurant offers enticing weekly specials such as Tuesday’s “Taste of Teppan,” where all Teppanyaki menu items are 20 percent off and children eat free, or “Un-Cork and Un-Wine” on Wednesday with half-priced bottles of wine and sake.
